Description
The second part of the monograph on the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G & K variants concentrates on the operational history of the fighter units operating this type over Europe and North Africa during its first two years of service. Describes the Gustav’s combat debut over the North Sea and English Channel, the actions over the Eastern Front, North Africa and Italy together with the heavy battles against U.S. four-engined bombers in the Defense of the Reich. The operations beyond the Polar Circle are also covered. The author uncoveres the fates of particular fighter units as well as individual pilots who fought in them.
English & Polish text, 112 pages, 102 photos, 18 sheets of 1:48 and 1:72 scale drawings, which include specification of external changes in production-run versions of the aircraft, 11 pages of colour charts with 25 examples of camouflage schemes.
